swap books Thursday!

I haven't yet decided which ones to bring tomorrow. Thursday 5th is the Big Book Swap Day.
Here in Göteborg people can meet up at Järntorget between 12-13 or 17-18 (I'll go there after work myself). All you need to do is bring a book and look like you want to swap.

Ida and Joakim behind this superclever idea states in their blog "Books. And getting rid of old books you've read. And get new ones. Without getting ruined. We don't like birds". I agree totally except about the birds.

There is a blog in Swedish Stora Bokbytardagen where places to swap are listed. If you don't find your place in the list you can arrange a time and place yourself. You only need to be two.

Now I have my name in Heather Smith Jones pinhole writing. I've seen the wintery photos and the printed cards being made with such loving care in her blog. And now they are here, as by magic. Think they were planned for Christmas, but I'll bring the generous thought with me all year, until next instead.

This was a Pay-it-forward from October, now I'll also get going with my Pay-it-forward parcels, when the busybusy season is over.

Pay it forward

This will be fun!

Heather Smith Jones, whose blog I follow with great pleasure, posted an invitation, Pay It Forward:

"I will send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I don’t know what that gift will be yet and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog."

I tried to follow the chain of PIF invitations backwards, but lost myself in reading the blogs instead. Better go back and post this first, to be part of the flow.

As written above, first three to leave a comment and post an invitation will receive a handmade gift, my guess is it will be made of clay.
