szusanna gilice in april

Too much to do this spring but now I have the time to sort all random photos. These just have to be posted. Szusanna Gilice showed paper installations at the Konstepidemin Gallery in April and it was at total space experience.

at röda sten, by the water

Röda Sten still keeps the door open to graffitti; this spring was an exhibition with some great street art artists. Above details from a larger installation by Lars Carlsson.

Ekta and Anton Wiraeus collaboration.
To mention just a few in the exhibition Mynningsladdare that filled the whole building and more.

And then of course, all the anomymous that are part of Röda Sten tradiiton.

This will happen by the river and Röda Sten: Skulpturer vid vatten opens August 4, an artists' collaboration about water and culture. There will be performances, sculptures, talks and more.

a day

Yesterday was the opening of photo exhibition A day in the world at the Museum of World Culture here in Göteborg and at the same time at Kulturhuset in Stockholm.

It is a huge collection of photos taken on the same day, May 15 this year, contributed by people all over the world. Somehow I had a familiar feeling; being at the opening was just like being inside the blog world. Especially when I saw this name under one of the photos: Sandra Juto :)

In the park of Slottskogen was a one day exhibition a while ago, Tombola Parksalong. Great event, where the blooming shrubs in the azalea valley competed with the art pieces - installations as well as performances. Fun and heartly art event by Tombola, a group of Göteborg artists.

To mention just a few of all the artists in the park salon:

Sad ladies

Friday evening was the big event "Kulturnatta" here in Göteborg, one big social and cultural happening all over the city all night. I stayed at one place only, very conveniant as so many friends passed by while I sat comfortably on my barstool :)

Lots of Göteborg artists donated work that was all exhibited and sold to support "Faktum", a local magazine supporting the homeless. Read more here, and links to all artists:

I am now the lucky owner of two very sad looking watercolor ladies by Amalia Kenamets.

Alexandra Hedberg was there, both with artwork and in person, look...

my show up north

They say up north though there is almost half a Sweden left, on the map.

Pics from my exhibition at Drejeriet. In joy and sorrow, once more. Neverending story.
The local papers wrote (Swedish only)
Länstidningen review... and Östersundsposten interview... and Östersundsposten review...

I feel like a celebrity.

post 401; easter art castle 3

Oh dear, I'm a bad blogger.
It seems my energy is being spread all around and focus is hard to find. Or, maybe it's just being directed elsewhere, think there will be a post about that.

Photos from the easter experience of staying in the pretty and haunted (but we never met the ghost) Gärsnäs castle. The opening evening was crowded with living people and I met quite a few old friends living in the south.

Aslaug Juliussen Norwegian textile designer

Have a a nice weekend, hopefully as spring sunny as here.

easter art event in Skåne 2

Among the exhibitors at Gärsnäs slott:
Camilla Engman shows new drawings, collages and paintings, as always lovely, intriguing and with a suble humour.

Tina L. Frausin from the Furniture Fair in February showed objects in a mix of materials.
