knitting peace

Cirkus Cirkör - Knitting Peace; a crafty performance. Beautiful poetic circus show, full of knitting surprises. It will be on tour for quite a while; see it if it´s ever near where you are!

2013 - it´s about time

About time to start the new year here.

From last week´s visit in Stockholm; a sneak peak through the blås&knåda window where Carl Richard Söderström was preparing his solo show "minor Prophets".
It opened last Saturday and he will give a talk on Feb 7.

Kaolin and Konsthantverkarna, in the same neighborhood, also opened new shows:
Catarina Mårtenson (picture) and Hanna Järlehed.

svartöstan!

Svartöstan, Luleå; my birth place and pride. I´m so happy to visit. Times are same same, but different. Blackis, where my father used to dance and have fun as a young man, is still the place.

Heart warming concert night: First, seven songs in a row in Finnish mellow minor with "Handsome Johnny and the knives". After that Evighetens Orkester, spiced with some Norrlåtar members from older days - progressive folk. And a few bands more.

Listen to Evighetens orkester here...
Norrlåter, sista brevet från Liikavaara-Franz here...

merry merry

Merry, merry holidays to all! Wish you lots of time with friends and family, peace and joy and fun.
I'm off to Santa-land and snow; hope to update all kinds of things over the holiday break; blog, website along with old friendships. All the best!

surprise

I am a little surprised, suddenly it's December and I wonder how all the other months this year could pass so quickly?

Outside there is this proof of winter. (It's gonna be all right).

one two three - flower wall finish

This week I was in Växjö, to finish the wall work for the rehab bath. I am happy with the result and so is the commissioner.

No time to rest today: I'm off to openings at Galleri 1, Camilla Engman solo show...
And Galleri Mors Mössa..., Helena Roos and Dan Fröberg.

And finally today's big winter event at Konstepidemin, full day with openings, fika, open studios, shop and much more. Program...

flower wall

Work in progress. Next week I will go to Växjö and put all the flowers on a wall. I have a few circles to cut in the prefab mosaic to fit the flowers in; almost there.

Jane Perryman, still a week left of her show at Lerverk. Until 19/11.
