svartöstan beach













Last week's trip to the north; photos from Sunday walk with friend Annie. Cold, still, silent.

Two clips from the film of Andy Goldsworthy, whose work I love; here and
here. The whole DVD can be bought here. He makes installations using only natural materials, leafs, twigs, stones, snow...in nature and in exhibition spaces. There are several gorgeous books too.

See work and interviews at ArtisanCam (a lovely site telling all about how artists do their thing) where he is also reviewed by school kids. His work up until 1986 in a very thorough web catalogue.

there are so many wonderful worlds out there that i know nothing about. thank you for opening my eyes to Andy Goldsworthy. After viewing the shorts I placed an order for the entire DVD.

I agree, I really like Goldsworthy too; his work is so contemplative. As are these images of yours on the shore. The layers of ice are like transparent slips of paper. So so beautiful Bibbi.
