I think that was the last swim for the summer, at least without a sauna before going in. That was last weekend, this will be rainy and windy.
But there are other pleasures:
Tea's up opens at CAA in London tonight, Paul Scott shows blue and white (of course!). 12 different artist approaches, like Cathy Miles wire sculptures or Suzanne Wall's spoons.

I hear you about the enjoyment of the large cameras. I have the heavy Canon 5D which is full of dust (already)somehow, and have loved it.
I hadn't thought of the battery life you mentioned yet... have really loved your photos so will look into the Canons you mention. So many small cameras now don't have a view finder ...not sure about that.
Ah, the last moments of summer, are always so full and a little sad. The good thing, I remind myself, is there are the equally momentous 'firsts' of autumn. :)
