Colleague: Anita Carlsson and seminars in West Sweden

It happens so that Anita Carlsson is my co-exhibitor at both at Nääs and in Alingsås Konsthall over summer. Anita is a well kept secret, she doesn't, yet, have a webpage though her work is worth to be seen by so many more.

Here photos from the shelfs in her studio, big ceramic relief tiles at Nääs and little gems from the show in Alingsås. Her work can be found at Lerverk.

I have hope there will be more activity here from now on. My daily job at KHVC is mostly computer work and this winter it was too much to come home to sit by another computer; eyes are sore even if eager.

But the good thing; the KHVC site in English is slowly growing, I recently added two craft events, a jewelry seminar in Göteborg and a textile three day happening in Borås, here:

Hållbara hem/sustainable houses

This year's summer exhibition at Nääs, all about sustainable living.

It is a continued cooperation from last year's successful event Hållbara Hem/Sustainable homes. Nääs houses the contemporary as well as the traditonal craft, and also a center for architectural preservation. This goes so well together.

In one of six designed sheds, I am happy to be one of three ceramic artists who is invited to illustrat sustainability in the form of quality and things being well designed for the specific location. There will be a few more posts from Nääs soon.

Vidöppet, summer show in Alingsås

I'm one of eleven artist who will show work at Alingsås Konsthall, from Saturday 21/5 and all summer long. It's a mix of expressions and materials:

How could it suddenly be August when it was April? I hope the summer brought you time to relax and reflect as it did to mee.

Thanks to Annelie I was reminded this blog is sadly neglected. I'm still here. All spring I was so busy  filling the new web site of Konsthantverkscentrum/KHVC with Swedish craft news and information. There is a limit to how much computer time there is in a day! A life must be lived, too!

Still, the English part of the web site is far from finished, but the Swedish section is well on it´s way. The work will continue, even if not as frantic as before holidays.

post 401; easter art castle 3

Oh dear, I'm a bad blogger.
It seems my energy is being spread all around and focus is hard to find. Or, maybe it's just being directed elsewhere, think there will be a post about that.

Photos from the easter experience of staying in the pretty and haunted (but we never met the ghost) Gärsnäs castle. The opening evening was crowded with living people and I met quite a few old friends living in the south.

Camilla Engman shows new drawings, collages and paintings, as always lovely, intriguing and with a suble humour.

Tina L. Frausin from the Furniture Fair in February showed objects in a mix of materials.
